BP Oil Spill Media Coverage Restricted – 65-foot “Safety Zone”
Posted on 25. Aug, 2010 by GuestAuthor in Video Clips (General)
July 2, 2010 – In the video above, “CNN News” reported that media coverage of the B.P. oil spill has been restricted. The Coast Guard is strictly enforcing a 65 foot “Safety Zone” where unapproved access (by the media) is prohibited. Unless there is a severe risk of a security or safety hazard, access will not be approved.
The general public (alongside numerous Alabama residents) is upset by the new “safety zone” rule. Many feel they are being led to believe that the government is “hiding” their own failure and incompetence by restricting our media’s ability to capture images of oil saturated birds and beaches – - i.e. the impact of B.P.’s accident on our land, our wildlife and our overall environment.
Despite backlash, federal officials are firmly standing their ground. A news release from “Unified Command” states, “The safety zone has been put in place to protect members of the response effort, the installation and maintenance of oil containment boom, the operation of response equipment and protection of the environment by limiting access to and through deployed protective boom.”
Those who violate the rules of the “safety zone” can face up to $40,000 in fines and Class D felony charges. If Alabama accident law firms don’t already have their hands full with B.P. oil spill cases, thanks to the new “65 foot ‘Safety Zone” rule, they might just have a slew of new cases headed their way!

Dui Arrest in Tucson?
Posted on 18. Aug, 2010 by GuestAuthor in Video Clips (General)
Anytime you charged with a DUI, regardless of whether it is your first, second, or third offense, you should hire an attorney. Too many people believe that once they are arrested there is no point in fighting a drugged or drunk driving charge. This is not true. An experienced lawyer can create a solid defense and negotiate a deal with the prosecution. If you hire an attorney, he or she will recommend that you cooperate with law enforcement at all times. Acting aggressively, yelling, cursing, or disrespecting police will only hurt your case. On the other hand, speaking politely and displaying good behavior from the time of arrest until you are released will work in your favor.Ultimately, without a Tucson drunk driving lawyer, your options are greatly limited.
For a drunk driving arrest in Tucson and the surrounding area of Arizona, contact a local and knowledgeable attorney immediately, to reduce the charges against you.
